Rolls-Royce form partnership with Goodrich to produce flight controls.

The joint venture between Rolls-Royce PLC and Goodrich will allow each company to to supply, develop and coordinate their engine controls more closely.
The deal is also intended to allow the companies to combine Goodrich’s engine control design and manufacturing with Rolls-Royce’s prestige in engines and engine control integration.
Financial terms associated with the partnership were not made public, however, under the agreement each company would own half of the venture and Goodrich will retain the services and aftermarket products business that would be generated by the venture.
Curtis Reusser, (pictured) Goodrich segment president of electronic systems said: “Goodrich already works closely with Rolls-Royce, and we believe closer integration would provide an even more efficient delivery of these important engine control systems.”
Rolls-Royce are primarily known for their top end cars and their commitment to quality, they estimate that 70 percent of all the cars they have ever built are still on the road, but they also provide power systems for civil and military aircraft, marine propulsion and energy production. Goodrich are a supplier of systems, services and aerostructure for aerospace and defense industries.
